おにぎりがくれた勇気🍙

こんにちは🌞こんばんは🌙

先日、妹が気になっていたおにぎり屋さんへ行ってきました🍙

注文をしてから握ってくれるお店でした✨

出来上がりを待っている間に、後ろに並んでいた海外の方に思い切って話しかけてみました！！

自分でもびっくりです😲

以前の私なら、話しかけたくても行動に移せませんでした。

ですが今回は、「せっかくだから話してみよう！」と思い切って声をかけることができました。

もちろん、うまく伝えられなかったこともありました。

相手の言っていることが聞き取れなかったり、言いたいことがすぐに出てこなかったり。

それでも、なんとか会話が成立した時はとても嬉しかったです😊

そして今回、改めて感じたことがあります。

それは、自信がなくてもはっきりと話すことが大切だということ。

英語に自信がないと、どうしても声が小さくなったり、言葉に詰まってしまったりします。

でも、それでは相手にも伝わりにくくなってしまいます。

分からない単語や、言いたいことがすぐに出てこないことは今でもたくさんありま

す。

それでも今の私にとって大切なのは、完璧な英語を話すことではなく、

「伝えようとする気持ち」

なのかなと思いました。

少しずつ。こういう小さな挑戦を積み重ねながら、

これからも英語を楽しんでいきたいと思います😌✨

The other day, I went to an onigiri shop that my sister had been wanting to visit 🍙

It was a place where they make the onigiri after you place your order✨

While we were waiting for our food, I decided to start a conversation with a traveler who was standing behind us in line.

Even I was surprised by myself 😲

In the past, I probably wouldn't have been able to do that, even if I had wanted to.

But this time, I thought, "Why not give it a try?" and gathered the courage to speak to them.

Of course, there were moments when I couldn't express myself very well.

Sometimes I couldn't understand what the other person was saying, and sometimes I couldn't find the words I wanted to use.

Even so, I was very happy whenever the conversation somehow worked and we were able to understand each other 😊

This experience reminded me of something important.

I realized that it's important to speak clearly, even when you're not confident.

When we lack confidence in our English, we tend to speak quietly or hesitate while talking.

But that can make it even harder for the other person to understand us.

Even now, there are still many words I don't know, and there are plenty of times when I can't immediately say what I want to say.

However, I think what's most important for me right now is not speaking perfect English.

It's having the willingness to communicate.

Little by little.

I want to keep taking small steps like this and continue enjoying my English-learning journey 😌✨
